The long wait is over. Finally 19 days after the release of the official video (MUSIC VIDEO: L’amore si muove nel Cerchio della Vita / Love moves in the Circle of Life) and four days after the ending-with-a-bang of the Grande Amore Tour the new album came out. Now L’amore really moves, it moves into the houses of all the fans spread in the whole world. Many people woke up this morning finding their album in the postbox, others bought it and hold it thight in their hands. Il Volo themselves published on their VEVO channel the songs of the both Italian and Spanish version, and also an International version of Grande Amore.

And they were so excited, they continued tweeted asking fans an opinion. Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca are proud of their work and we are proud of them, too.
They had worked har for a year on it, and they created three wonderful pearls in Italian and Spanish, with some songs in English in all the albums.
In the previous post we did about L’amore si muove, we finished wondering what song would be our favourite: in reality, there aren’t songs that don’t deserve at least one prize.

Continue reading

Il Volo links e notizie del 10 settembre 2015

Ciao a tutti!

Continue reading

Il Volo links and news for September 10, 2015

Hello everyone! When today the Italian part of the editorial staff woke up, found on internet Gianluca’s goodnight selfie, announcing that Il Volo was waited in Miami on September 10th.

In the very moment they were in the hall of the hotel waiting for the van to pick them up, Ignazio filmed another Periscope as he promised yesterday. He is becoming a social man and we want to thank deeply that app. Thanks to Ignazio, everyone was able to know how Il Volo was and where they were about to be… all of that mixed with the funny personalities of the guys. Gianluca was listening to a song by Tiziano Ferro and Piero was thinking of the right photo to upload on his Twitter profile: he took a photo of his luggages (“his companions”), but Ignazio decided to do him a photoshoot, while filming. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Il Volo.

They seems more relaxed and they are really enjoying this experience abroad, and it’s a pleasure to see they have fun with each other: after all the commitments, they deserved a period to “take a break” from the Italian tour, with more privacy.

Here there are some news that popped on web between yesterday evening and today:

After winning a competition by distributing the Il Volo concert’s posters in more than 100 different shops, I got rewarded with a backstage pass. I didn’t know how exclusive it was until I actually got there, not even the media, who had ‘media passes’ could go inside and so I felt really privileged and fortunate to be there.

As soon as I entered backstage I saw members of the orchestra preparing and tuning their instruments. As I had a little walk around the premises, I noticed that the trio weren’t there yet, as the dressing rooms were still empty.

After about 15 minutes I saw a black car approaching and my heart skipped a beat. It was really them! As soon as they got out of the car, they hurried towards a tent where they were interviewed by a TV station and then rushed into their dressing rooms as they were very late. After that I got the chance to take a picture with Ignazio as he was the only one who wasn’t in the dressing room.

Il Volo in Malta - backstageAfter about 5 minutes the boys got out of the dressing room and rushed on stage, initiating the concert with the famous Italian song ‘Il Mondo’. I watched the entire concert from the front row and this led to Piero waving at me during ‘Beautiful Day’.

The concert was beyond expectations. I admit I teared up a few times… their voices are so unique! During the concert the trio fooled around on stage and picked on Ignazio, the funny part of the group, which made the audience laugh hysterically. During one of the songs Gianluca even asked a fan to go up on stage with him as he sang the famous Elvis Presley song ‘Can’t help falling in love’.

As the concert ended, I rushed back backstage and saw the trio climbing down the stairs of the stage. As I greeted Piero with a ”Wow ! Well done !”, he smiled at me and invited me to hang out with them in their dressing room. After that I got the chance to take pictures with Piero and Gianluca (one can never have enough pictures with them.. infact I got about six). The trio fooled around backstage having photos with fans and friends and soon after, they hopped back into their car as they made their way to their hotel.

As I’m typing this story, I still can’t believe that this actually happened. I feel like I’m living a dream. I sincerely hope that they will come to our country again but until then, I will have to wait 3 weeks to see them again in Verona with my best friends and relive the memories that we witnessed when the trio came to Malta.

Malta – Il Volo enchanted the island with their grande amore

Il Volo concert in Malta - August 29 2015by Martina Camenzuli

August 29th 2015 will be a day Malta will surely remember, for it was the day Il Volo enchanted the island with their ‘grande amore’ during their concert. The concert, which took place at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali, was very much awaited by the Maltese fans. In fact, as soon as the tickets had come out not more than a month ago, the website had crashed due to the amount of users trying to buy their seats.

The whole night was a mesmerising experience, from the opening melody played by the Filarmonica Band, till the last note of “Grande Amore” which closed the concert. Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio’s individual voices stole the people’s hearts when performing their solos, but whenever they united their voices together, the concert reached new heights. Emotions were soaring high, and the audience was transported into a new dimension.

Il Volo concert in Malta - August 29 2015The audience included people of all ages, people of different nationalities who came to Malta just to see their idols. Throughout the concert the trio showed their appreciation to the standing ovation and applauds they were getting from the audience. Apart from their break-through song “Grande Amore”, Il Volo performed different cover versions of songs from their favourite artists, including Barbara Streisand, Placido Domingo, Frank Sinatra, Pavarotti and Pino Daniele.

The three different personalities of the trio sparked out throughout the whole night with humoristic jokes and even tried to include the audience. It seems that Il Volo will be coming back to Malta in the future since at the end of the concert all three remarked that they shall be coming back soon.
