On August 9th, 2015 Il Volo performed in the splendid archaeological area of Civitella, Chieti, Abruzzo. That concert was strongly wanted by the baritone Gianluca Ginoble, who is from Abruzzo and desired to sing once in his native region.
The trio was warmly welcomed by the people from Abruzzo and by the huge amount of tourists that were there: more than 4 thousand people attended the concert, seduced and captured by that – it lasts for quite 2 hours and carried the audience in a journey between Italian, Spanish and American masterpieces of music.
Since the early afternoon, fans crowded out of the walls, waiting for the arrival of the three guys. The time that fans passed out of the Amphitheatre was repaid around 6 p.m., when Ignazio arrived to begin the final rehearsals. He stopped to greet fans, doing autographs and photos, but most of all he smiled to everyone – he had one of those smiles that full the hearts. After a few minutes, Piero and Gianluca’s cars came near the Amphitheatre, but they couldn’t stop because Il Volo had to do the sound check and to release interviews and they had little time.
