News Reporter: «A warm and eager welcome from the people at La Civitella in Chieti for the Trio il Volo. Report by Danilo Fumiento.»
The dream of Il Volo continues with their incessant successes. Yesterday at La Civitella in Chieti more than 4,000 people witnessed the most anticipated concert of Abruzzo’s summer season, a true event. These 3 guys never fail to amaze the audience, and yesterday they managed to enchant the people with their voices once again. We met the trio at the backstage during their rehearsal.
Piero: «It’s nice to see the reaction of the people… the reaction of so many fans who eagerly wait for your concert, who wait for you outside and who cry out when they see you. It truly is the best welcome we could wish for.»
Reporter: «There was a radical change after Sanremo. Abroad your success was already established, and now it’s the same in Italy.»
Ignazio: «We’re really happy because our objective was always to bring this type of music to the younger generation, and now we’ve managed to reach that aim. A big thanks should go to our fans, because it’s because of their constant support and admiration for us that we’ve managed to come so far.»
A new album is to come out in September. In the meantime, a summer tour which will culminate into a grand finale at the Arena di Verona, and the Palasport Tour.
Reporter: «Some think that it’s a music genre suitable only for the elderly, but all the youngsters who follow you seem to prove otherwise.»
Gianluca: «I think that the reality of the situation is that it’s always a continuous evolution. Even when you sing “’O Sole mio” or “Un Amore così grande”, there will always be people who call it outdated and old. To a certain point it is a bit the true, but then you manage to get your own repertoire, create your own music. Now we have a new album coming out next September, and I’m sure we’re going to surprise even the most sceptical Italian artists.»
