On Feb 13, 2015 in Sanremo took place the fourth episode of the 65º Festival della Canzone Italiana. At the magnificent scenery of the Teatro Ariston Carlo Conti, Emma Marrone, Arisa and Rocío Moralez conducted this new evening of music and entertainment alternating the contestants with famous guests not only of the music scene.
The evening begin with the contest among the New Proposals where the four finalists performed their songs. The voting system was: 30% experts – 8 members related to the world of music, not journalists or DJs –, 30% opinion poll – 300 people, aged 16 and older, who will vote from home with a special application –, 40% by televoting. The first race was between Amara (Credo) and Kutso (Elisa), and the lively and fun performance of Kutso passed to the final. There was the turn of Enrico Nigiotti (Qualcosa da decidere) and Giovanni Caccamo (Ritornerò da te), two great presentations. Giovanni Caccamo won the race and the two finalists of the New Proposals are set for the final voting.
The contest among the 20 “big” artists occurred with the presentations of the songs with the same voting system.

The second presentation of the unreleased songs was less tense, allowing many contestants to improve the performance. It could be clearly noticed with Annalisa, Chiara and Lara Fabian. Lorenzo Fragola and Il Volo, although the very good presentations did not repeat the same level of the first performance.
Grande Amore by Il Volo can be the first pop lyric hit in many time. The melody is engaging and the alternation of voices allows to experience different feelings during the song. The calm and the belief in Gianluca voice, urgency, passion and even fear in the voice of Ignazio, certainty and determination on an even dramatic sense on the voice of Piero. Grande Amore grabs the attention from the start to the end. The lyrics with its simplicity may not allow this song to become a hit of all times, but may cause it to be a great success today. Or on the contrary, considering that who decides ultimately is the public.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca did a great performance. Passionate, intense, with excellent voice quality and a remarkable stage presence. The audience react with applause during the presentation and again with a standing ovation at the end. The best presentation of the 4th episode:

After the presentation of Dear Jack (maybe another hit here) the televoting was opened to decide the winner of the New Proposals: Kutso x Giovanni Caccamo. And the winner was Giovanni Caccamo with “Ritornerò da te”. The Sicilian singer take over all the awards winning the Premio della Critica Mia Martini and the Premio Sala Stampa Radio-Tv-Web too.
The guests of this episode were: Pilobolus Dance Theater, Antonio Conte, Virginia Raffaele, Sammy Basso, Elena Sofia Ricci, Giovanni Allevi, The Avener.
After the performances of Giovanni Allevi and The Avener, at the end of the evening Carlo Conti announced the 16 “big” artists to the final. Biggio & Mandelli, Lara Fabian, Raf and Anna Tatangelo are the 4 artists eliminated. Il Volo will be there, a well deserved honor.
The final of Sanremo will be today, Feb 14th, with the same voting system of the 4th episode for the presentation of the 16 songs of the “big artists”. After this, the scores will be reset and the televoting will be reopened for the 3 finalist songs to determine the winner of Sanremo 2015.
