The first concert of Ignazio Boschetto

Ignazio Boschetto first concertEvery June 24 is celebrate the feast of San Giovanni Battista – the saint patron of Marsala – and the city is often bursting with activities. Besides the services in the church and the traditional visit to the well of Sibilla, at the end of the evening the community gathers together on Porta Nuova to the fireworks spectacle. That was the date chosen for the first concert of Ignazio Boschetto. Fourteen years old, fresh out of the talent show which launched him in Italy and that brought him together with Piero Barone and Gianluca Ginoble, with whom he formed a trio soon after.

The Step by Step Association was responsible for organizing the concert through Liliana Andreanò – director of the association and singing teacher of Ignazio – along with the musicians of the Paper Music Group – Nino Perrella and Gianfranco Parrinello. The Maestro Gino De Vita made the musical arrangements and conducted the orchestra of 24 musicians.

This time, on the night of San Giovanni, the community of Marsala found much more than a show of fireworks next to Porta Nuova, as this was the venue for the concert that received nearly 20,000 people.

It was an exciting evening and a hard test for the young Ignazio, who sang the songs of his repertoire on Ti Lascio Una Canzone, “Il Mondo”, “I migliori anni della nostra vita”, “Quando l’amore diventa poesia” among others . A whole night of Ignazio accompanied by an orchestra in his first solo concert. A big thrill for his teacher Liliana with whom he studied for five years. Also a great satisfaction to his friend Gino who directed the orchestra and accompanied him with the guitar.

The audience reacted enthusiastically and welcome the first concert of this young talent of the city. The applause increased during the performance giving confidence to Ignazio. At the end, the square was vibrating with the emotion. The feast of San Giovanni is an event full of joy and warmth and witnessing a true gift of God in one of its most beautiful expressions greatly increased the excitement of everyone. Ignazio had to return for an encore under a hail of applause.

A little of the first concert of Ignazio, this beautiful duet with Liliana Andreanò  – the teacher and the student sharing the stage and the success.
